No Angelina Jolie on red carpets at Oscars 2011?

The Oscars 2011 have come and gone and no Brangelina were present in the crowd. The celebrity couple opted to avoid the red carpets at the awards ceremony and the after parties that night.
Hollywood Life shared:
Over at the HollywoodLife.com offices, Angelina Jolie was one star that was deeply missed on the red carpet at the Oscars on Feb. 27 — but even though the star didn’t make an appearance, her name was still coming up on the red carpet!
Reality television star Kim Kardashian -- who, by the way earns more money than actress Angelina Jolie annually according to Hollywood rumors -- also elected to skip the red carpets and festivities and was compared to Angelina Jolie. Discussions arose about Kim Kardashian starring in a 3D film for producer director James Cameron in the possible future, while Angelina Jolie had her name come up as the star of a future 3D film re-make of Cleopatra.

What was a hit this year were the green emerald, platinum, and diamond earrings worn by Oscar award nominee actress Annette Bening. Her earring choice was likely to have been Angelina Jolie inspired, as stylists everywhere were impressed by the emerald earrings Angelina Jolie wore to the Oscars 2010 event.
Bening attended the Oscars 2011 with actor Warren Beatty.

Ferrari President to lead push for Italian Olympics in 2020?

According to a variety of Italian news reports, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo is the man Rome, Italy is looking to spearhead the world famous city's bid to host the 2020 Olympics.

The IOC [International Olympic Committee] is expected to name the host city two years' time.

The news Ferrari President Montezemolo was the front runner to lead the initiative to snag a 2020 Olympic Games for Italy came straight from Gianni Petrucci, president of CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee).

He is the latest person to put his backing behind the Ferrari president: "Luca di Montezemolo is the right man; he's one of the best-known Italians in the world," Petrucci told Italian news agency ANSA.

"With him our chances would increase. I'm in complete agreement with Gianni Letta and Gianni Alemanno. Now let's wait for his reply."

What do you think of Montezemolo?

Amid rumors that the Italian government has pushed fro him to step down as the head of Ferrari for his inability to pull through the F1 race team and for limited growth in Ferrari sales internationally this past 3 years, is he the right man to act as a closer for the 2011 Olympic Games to come to their fair city?

While all roads definitely lead to Rome, choosing Montezemolo to drive the bus rather than remain at the wheel of the Ferrari corporation may or may not be a good decision.
Ferrari fans -- what do you think?
