Green Celebrities Gossip: Humanitarian George Clooney a big tipper at restaurants?

George Clooney Rumors!

George Clooney is supposed to play auto maker John Delorean in a new biopic being filmed in 2011, but what his next movie role might be is not the biggest topic of discussion in entertainment journals this week. What he had for dinner on date night with Elisabetta Canalis is -- and the likely fact Clooney left a big tip when he paid for the cute celebrity couple's Chinese food dinner. [Dec. 13]

Honestly, no wonder Clooney makes fun of the press. Lettuce Cups and Orange Chicken at a Chinese restaurant was reported by the fun celebrity gossip site Too Fab. Now we're reporting it, too.

Why? Because we just can't help but be curious, George, about what it is like to be you.

Elisabetta Canalis and George Clooney dined at the Studio Cities Chai Dynasty restaurant on or about December 11, 2010. News of the celebrity sighting leaked on December 13, creating big headlines about the handsome actor leaving the staff a generous $100 tip.

The celebrity couple allegedly ordered a big expensive meal with lots of dishes to share and washed the Asian fare down with Japanese Hot Saki (also a lovely date night drink to share).

What was not reported was whether or not the celebrity couple used chop sticks or interacted with any other dinner guests while they were there.

George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis have been dating well over a year now, with no signs of a marriage proposal or any baby bumps on the horizon. Just egg rolls and Chardonay Shrimp.

Canalis was spotted filming a new commercial only a few days earlier on the streets of Rome for the festival of San Remo.

While Clooney is well known for being a  humanitarian, as green celebrities the famous pair has done very little charity work in public together.

A little known fact is that Elisabetta Canalis is a pet friendly celebrity who speaks out as an animal rights activist.

Clooney, in a bit of odd trivia, owned an enormous pot bellied pig which he house trained and kept like a dog as his family pet until the animal's death.
